Curriculum Overview
A Step Ahead Learning Center believes that children learn best through play and experiences in an environment where they feel secure.
Our Program provides written daily routines of individual and small group activities appropriate to the age and needs of the children. We include activities that foster social, intellectual, emotional and physical growth
Our Programs daily routines foster development of good health habits, self-discipline, adequate indoor/outdoor play, rest/sleep with time and opportunity for various experiences
Our infant program focuses on building secure trusting relationships between teachers and children to help foster learning throughout the early childhood years. At this age daily schedules are very flexible and are used more for guidance. The classroom environment protects children from physical harm without restricting physical, intellectual, emotional and social development.
Our Toddler and Early Preschool rooms focus on learning independence and classroom routines. At this age daily schedules are very flexible and are used more for guidance.
Our Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten rooms ensure children are prepared to enter school.
We follow a curriculum that offers experiences in all developmental domains.
